Museum of Kłodzko Land in Kłodzko
-
Kłodzko
Previously, a Jesuit boarding school was located here. It was built from 1622 as a result of joining five tenement houses and remained unchanged until the completion of the east wing in the years 1753 - 1754. After renovation in 1978-1986 the Museum of Kłodzko Land was established there. The most beautiful museum interiors include: the library - formerly a refectory, the concert hall, where there was once the Chapel of St. Aloysius, the Golden Salon, the conference room and a baroque staircase. The museum houses numerous collections, the largest being: the Silesian clocks, a collection of tin, coins, and unique glass. The museum's library has an interesting collection of regional literature, numbering over 7,000 volumes. The museum organizes readings, lectures, museum lessons, concerts and exhibitions.

The Kłodzko Fortress and Labyrinths
-
Kłodzko
One of the most interesting and characteristic monuments of Kłodzko is the Kłodzko Fortress, famous throughout Europe (the Forteczna Mountain 369 metres above sea level). Its origins date back to the tenth century and the period of formation of the city, which up to the seventeenth century was frequently reinforced. Starting from 1622, systematic militarization of the castle and conversion into a fortress was carried out by the Austrians, until 1742 when the city and the fortress fell under Prussian rule. It was then that by order of Frederick the Great, the fortress was expanded, at the same time removing all traces of the Renaissance castle, chapels and church. The walkways of the main Fortress have several levels and two ring roads, and their total length is 40 km, out of which approx. 1 km is open to the public The part of fortifications available to explore makes up only 10% of the defence facility which includes the underground labyrinths, mining corridors and a lapidarium. The underground passages, corridors, dungeons, and sidewalks date back to different eras, the oldest are the remains of medieval monastic cellars and Renaissance castle, but most casemates and sidewalks were built in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The fortress offers a wonderful view over the city and its surroundings; with a good visibility from the bastion lookout you can admire Śnieżnik which is 40 km away, Szczeliniec Wielki and the mountains surrounding the Kłodzko Valley.

The Gothic Bridge of St. John in Kłodzko
-
Kłodzko
The gothic bridge is one of the most characteristic monuments of Kłodzko, connecting the Old Town with the part of the city known as Wyspa Piasek (the Sand Island). The beginning of its construction is dated differently - according to one source it was built in 1281, as evidenced by the date carved under the figure of Christ Crucified, which does not match the later record in the chronicle of George Promnitz. The bride of St. John, by the Młynówka channel, is commonly called the bridge of Veit Stoss and compared with the famous Charles Bridge in Prague. Over the centuries of its existence, the bridge was frequently strengthened and rebuilt, for example, during the Hussite wars (1428-1434), and restored (four times starting from the seventeenth century). In 1655 the first of the six votive figure funded by the burghers and nobles of Kłodzko was placed on the bridge, thus starting the period of decorating the bridge with Baroque statues. Currently, there are six of them: Pieta (Our Lady with the body of Christ), St. John, St. John of Nepomuk, St. Francis Xavier, Christ on the Cross, Holy Trinity and the Coronation of Our Lady.

The Underground Tourist Route of the name of the Millennium of the Polish Country in Kłodzko
-
Kłodzko
It was made available to the public on 4 December 1976 and is one of the most interesting underground routes in Poland. It leads through part of an extensive system of old cellars and dungeons beneath the Old Town, reaching several storeys below street level, with a length of approx. 600 metres and runs from Zawiszy Czarnego street to the exit near the Fortress, close to Grodzisko street. The part intended for touring is fully illuminated, and a few offshoots are being prepared for historical exhibitions. In the underground we will encounter an old furnace, a well, an exhibition presenting the model of the French guillotine and an executioner's axe.

The Parish Church of the Assumption of the BVM in Kłodzko
-
Kłodzko
One of the most important temples in the Kłodzko area and throughout the Sudetes, in terms of construction, as well as the wealth of the preserved interior. It is also one of the largest churches in the area. It is 62 metres long and 22 metres wide. Throughout the entire period of its existence the parish church passed from hand to hand, which it owes its uniqueness to. Construction of the church began in 1194, but the cornerstone wasn't placed until 1344 at the initiative of Arnost of Pardubice. In the sixteenth century, the north tower, called the Black Tower, was completed. The sixteenth century is considered the end of constructing churches in the Gothic style. Because of the long construction time it does not have a single style. Some elements of the church were built later - in the seventeenth century - the sacristy, chapels and galleries in the aisles.
In the eighteenth century the interior was replaced and supplemented with the Baroque style in mind. Until the nineteenth century the church was surrounded by a cemetery, from which the only part left now is a late-baroque gate with figures of 3 saints, known as the Black Gate.

Mobile Nativity Scene in Kudowa Zdrój (Czermna)
-
Czermna/Kudowa Zdrój
In a log cabin, which is an example of a traditional Sudetic building, from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, you can admire the work of self-educated Frantisk Stepan, who began carving his work when he was only 15 years old, in linden wood with a penknife. After twenty years of arduous work he made 250 figures, which, moved by hand, created a nativity scene. The figures in the nativity scene depict scenes from the life of the shepherds, the townspeople and the birth of Jesus Christ. In the years 1930 - 1938 Franciszek Stepan added a wooden organ composed of 270 pipes and 10 registers.
The work of Franciszek Stepan is an example of incredible passion and patience on the way to the desired goal.

Chapel of Skulls in Kudowa-Zdrój (Czermna)
-
Czermna/Kudowa Zdrój
The interior of the chapel is lined with 3,000 skulls and bones. This is the only such facility in Poland and one of three in Europe. It is one common grave of the victims of the Silesian wars of the years 1740-1742 and 1744-1745, and of infectious diseases from the eighteenth century. Under the floor lie many more (20-30 thousand) human remains. The chapel was built in 1776 by a priest, Wacław Tomaszek, for whom it took eight years to build the chapel, collect remains, carry out disinfection and impregnation and laying of the remains. The chapel is an exceptional example of transience and fragility of humans, in which the remains of old families, friends and foes meet. Once a year, at midnight on 14-15 August, a mass is celebrated in the Chapel of Skulls for all those who died through diseases or as a result of accidents.

The National Park of the Stołowe Mountains in Kudowa-Zdrój
-
Kudowa Zdrój
The Stołowe Mountains are one of the most beautiful and attractive mountain ranges in Poland. There is the National Park of Stołowe Mountains in their surroundings.
The Stołowe Mountains extend from the valley of Bystrzyca Dusznicka on the northwest, and to the region of Mieroszów and Krzeszów, where they have another name: Zawory. The range totals 42 km in length. The north-east end is marked by the Ścinawka river, and the western one by the valleys of the Metua river and its right inlet Jivka (in the Czech Republic).
The range of Stołowe Mountains is the only example in Poland of plate mountains, built in the Upper Cretaceous sandstones, lying on two main levels. The sandstones were the bottom of the sea, which as a result of tectonic movements have been elevated to the height of several hundred metres. Between them there are layers of impervious marls.

Errant Rocks Reserve in Karłów
-
Karłów
Outstanding landscape attraction - a unique rock maze covering the ridge of Skalniak (915 metres asl) carved in the Upper Cretaceous sandstones with the help of water and winds, using their unequal resistance to weathering. They can be found in the National Park of the Stołowe Mountains. You can get there from Kudowa Zdrój towards Karłów, or going along the red trail for approx. 2.5 hours. The created rock blocks on the surface of 21.14 hectares create several hundred metres of tourist route with unique charm, which when exploring, one has to often literally squeeze through the narrow gaps between the rocks. The height of corridors ranges from 6 to 8 m, the width is different - in some places it is only a few feet. Even during the rain, a significant part of the route is passed under rock umbrellas. We can find here beautiful, well-shaped forms of rock tables, towers, mushrooms, tunnels; many of which have their own names, for example "Rock Saddle", "Chicken Feet", "Labyrinth", "Tunnel", "Great Hall". This form of weathering has no equivalent in Poland. In the area of the Errant Rocks there is a viewpoint on the platform called "Rocky Bowls". You can see from there Szczeliniec Wielki, Szczeliniec Mały, Broumovska Vrchovina, the town of Machov, and with good visibility you can see the Giant Mountains. The natural reserve was established here in 1957. Going through the maze takes approx. 35 minutes.

Hunting palace in Bożków
-
Bożków
The palace in Bożków - the historic palace building built by count von Magnis in the early Renaissance. His predecessor, Alexander founded earlier the 3-acre park, where he put pheasantry, an orangery, and ordered goldfish to be put in the pond.
Anton Alexander Anton Alexander caused the thriving and expansion of the property. His name is linked with a Baroque-classicist development of castle in 1787, the construction of artificial ruins on top of the Grodziszcze mountain and of the forester. In 1800 Alexander built romantic, artificial small ruins near the palace. 16 gravestones from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries were placed there. In 1813, on Grodziszcze hill 396 m above sea level, an observation tower was built at the request of count von Magnis. The last reconstruction of the castle took place after the great fire in 1870 and was done by count Wilhelm von Magnis. In 1871, the reconstruction of the palace was started. After 1945 the estate became the property of the Polish State Treasury; from that time the palace underwent gradual devastation. This facility was considered the most rich in the works of art in the Kłodzko area.

Szczeliniec Wielki Summit in Karłów
-
Karłów
The highest peak of the Stołowe Mountains (919 metres asl) and at the same time the most attractive place. From afar, Szczeliniec Wielki looks like a massif with a vast, flat top and almost vertical slopes. In reality, the vast plateau is deeply cracked, quite much in its depth. Cracking sandstone shoals have formed a "rock city" comprising originally shaped rocks and cliffs, most of which have their own names such as "Mother Hen", "Mammoth" (also called "Apeman"), "Camel", "Princess Emilka's Head", "Elephant" and "Pulpit". An interesting part of the Great Szczeliniec is the so-called "Inferno" - a rocky crack about 100 m long and 20 m deep with a specific microclimate with a low temperature and high humidity. 680 stone steps lead to the top of Szczeliniec.

In the early years of the thirteenth century, blind John of Raszewo regained his sight praying in front of the statue of Mary with the Infant placed on a huge lime tree. News of the miraculous event spread very quickly. To facilitate the religious practices, a stone altar, a stoup and a candlestick were built at the foot of the tree with the figure (they are now kept in the cloister of the basilica). According to the great encyclopedia by Herder, 200 thousand pilgrims come annually to Wambierzyce.
The present church was built between 1715 and 1720. Inside there is a very rich and valuable baroque decoration from the eighteenth century; among others, main and side altars, pulpit, paintings and statues. The consecration of the church occurred in 1720; in 1725 the sculptor Karol Sebastian Flaker made the main altar and the pulpit. In 1936, Pope Pius XI bestowed the church the title of Minor Basilica.

Bear Cave
-
Kletno
The Bear Cave is a great tourist attraction because of its origins dating back to the Precambrian era, so about 4.5 billion years ago. The entrance to Bear Cave is located about 800 m above sea level and was built up with an entrance pavilion, where the ticket offices, exhibitions, cafe and a projection room (where a video about the cave is displayed) are located. The route runs through the middle floor of the cave. It is well prepared for visitors. A tourist walks following a convenient sidewalk; quite unlike the cavers who, when exploring the caves, often must crawl in the mud, or squeeze through narrow slits.

Neo-Gothic castle in Szczytna
-
Szczytna
Located at the picturesque Szczytnik hill at the height of 589 m, commonly called "Stone Forest" castle. You can follow the open path next to the side wings of the castle, through the gate with two small towers, and above all - you can feast your eyes on the sight of the Dusznicki Depression from a special observation point on the rocks. You can also visit the castle chapel.
The property was built on a rectangular plan with one cylindrical tower and a few four-sided towers. It was surrounded by walls with castellation, on which cannons used to stand. The building's walls are thick like in a real castle and the entrance led across a drawbridge. It has a lot of neo-Gothic details, such as machicolations, window borders and portals. Interiors are decorated with great splendour; the knights and hunting motifs are exhibited in them. Near the castle are stone Stations of the Cross with sandstone reliefs, set in natural stone.

Crystal Glass Factory "Sudety" in Szczytna
-
Szczytna
The "Sudety" crystal glass factory has several hundred years of tradition, and its roots reach back to the old glass-making tradition. In 1770 a glass factory in Batorów was founded, called the "great-grandmother" of our factory, which gave origin to a number of projects related to the production and processing of crystal and soda glass. In 1771, crystal glass was produced for the first time in Batorów, and two years later sumptuous glass tableware was produced, especially wine glasses, cheering cups and beer mugs. These items were a real ornament thanks to the engraved decoration and gilding and silver plating. In 1827 the glass factory came into the possession of Major Leopold von Hochberg Martiza, who expanded the factory and enriched the design with Art Nouveau decoration. At this time, the glassworks produced a wide range of crystal products - blown, hand-pressed and automatically produced, and offered a rich assortment of sophisticated designs and at affordable prices. With its own design studio, designing products in various forms and a full range of cuts, the company realizes the boldest designs provided by customers, including a service for the English manor, tableware for transatlantic MS "St. Batory", engraved glasses for LOT Polish Airlines and decorative cups for diplomatic missions.

This medieval castle is located within the borders of Wałbrzych (a few kilometres north of the city), on the area of the Książ Landscape Park.

Many temporary exhibitions are available in the castle, mainly of photographs by various authors; an antique shop and cafes located on the visiting routes. A part of the castle serves as a hotel.
The castle may be admired in all its splendour from the viewpoint located near the access road to the facility. There is also a horse stable and the palm house in Książ.
