Centre of Maritime Microclimate - Galos Caves
The inhabitants of Poland, besides those lucky ones living by the sea, are at risk of thyroid growth. People suffering from hypothyroidism are dull, sluggish, and have a tendency to obesity. The Galos Caves are created with salt from the Black Sea, which ensures a maritime microclimate. That is why the Kłodzko Spa Complex expanded the range of services with the salt and iodine cave, thanks to which you can supplement the iodine deficiency even in the mountains.
"Galos" salt cave is constructed with salt blocks produced in the Crimea. That is where the first caves in the days of Soviet rule were created. Professor Vladimir Strojewski has been working for a long time in order to obtain the benefits of maritime climate and eliminate its disadvantages. The air in spas with salty sources or water has a lot of humidity, which in many cases is undesirable, or even harmful. For decades, only the authorities visited the Crimea. Now the professor has sold the patent. The company Everet from the Crimea creates caves in Poland according to his patent. There's already 15 of them. The rock salt, excavated from the earth, is considered dead. The most valuable is sea salt. It has been created for years: the sea water is led into shallow pools and exposed to the sun. The crystallising salt contains its energy, it is vibrant and has a condensed healing power. The "Galos" caves are made of salt bricks, with which the walls, ceiling and floor are lined The salt evaporates, releasing microelements valuable for health. The air is saturated with molecules of iodine, magnesium, iron, calcium and potassium. The floors are heated, and before each session the walls of the cave are blown with a strong stream of air in order to force the salt to more intensive evaporation. The microelements are present here in a concentration several times higher than by the sea. Each breath provides valuable components. Even the temperature is set optimally for the human body.
The Galos cave is a charming place. The salt crystals reflect light and salt stalactites hang from the ceiling. An unusual ambience is enhanced by lighting: a diffused light comes from small shell-shaped lamps and in each corner the salt lumps glitter. The microclimate in the cave favours relaxation, it is recommended for the nervous and overtired people. Salt negatively ionizes the air, which fosters health. There are comfortable reclining chairs in the cave, which may be set to the individual's liking. You can also listen to relaxation music or to the sounds of nature - birds singing. A relaxation session lasts for 45 minutes. Instead of lying in the chair, you can also go for an acupressure walk. The coarse salt is scattered around the chairs and you can walk on it in special plastic boots. Crystals of salt massage the acupressure points really well, improving circulation and general fitness of the body.
Clean ionized air in the Galos Cave improves the health condition and has a positive impact on:
- allergy, asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic pneumonia and bronchitis,
- thyroid which produces hormones responsible for metabolism in the whole body,
- any allergic problems,
- gastrointestinal disorders: gastric and duodenal ulcers diseases, gastritis, atypical colitis and Crohn's disease,
- cardiovascular diseases: heart failure, heart attack conditions, hypertension,
- dermatological diseases: psoriasis, dermatitis,
- autonomic nervous system dysfunction: circulatory disorders conditioned by the violation of higher levels of vascular activity, abnormal bowel movements,
- neuroses and neurotic states caused by chronic diseases and chronic fatigue.
Staying in a salt-iodine cave is definitely not recommended for people with hyperthyroidism, and people allergic to iodine. It is recommended for pregnant women who have a high demand for iodine.
For mothers with little children, "singing" classes are offered, because we inhale a lot more air into the lungs when singing. Mum and her child receive a cassette and sing together. One session in the cave equals 3 days by the seaside!
